Transcript of Red Pandas

Red Pandas Habitat: by Sydney Kim Immigration: The red panda would immigrate if its
food source was limited. Emigration: The red panda would emigrate if
there was a lot of poachers nearby. Red Panda
food chain Red Panda (Primary Consumer) Producers Berries Bamboo Mushrooms Tree Bark Red Panda Primary Consumer Producers Berries Bamboo Mushrooms Tree Bark Snow Leopard Secondary Consumer Red Panda as Predator Red Panda as prey and predator Ecosystem: insects and
bird eggs Biotic Factors: animals- snow leopards, foxes, bears, monkeys, birds.....etc. non-living things- trees, bamboo, moss, mushrooms, rocks,.......etc. Abiotic Factors: Adaptations: The red panda has adapted by hunting for food at night so it doesn't have to compete with other animals for food. Also, they have adapted by using their wrist bone as a thumb to grasp bamboo more tightly. Red pandas use their bushy tails to help them balance on thin branches while climbing trees. Symbiotic Relationships: The Red Panda has a symbiotic relationship with itself and the evergreen tree. They build their nests at the top of the tree. (Commensalism) consumer insects and
bird eggs consumer Community: Red Pandas mate 1-2 times a year.
Their mating season is from January
to March. They have 1-4 kits (baby
red pandas). Limiting Factors: Some limiting factors for the red panda is if they don't have enough food because of loss of habitat and deforestation. Also, if they don't have shelter in trees to hide from predators. Another limiting factor is if there is not enough bamboo to eat and that means that they would have to find another water source instead of having water from the inside of the bamboo. If the red panda doesn't have enough space they would have to move away. Some animals that are in the community are snow leopards, bears, foxes, mountain deer, sheep, and more Red Pandas live in temperate and bamboo forests in
the Himalayan Mountains. It is unknown what will
happen when a red panda
has more young than normal
but probably only the healthiest
would survive. The things that interact in the red panda's ecosystem are.... Nonliving- air, grass, trees, dirt,......etc. Living- snow leopards, bears, foxes, mountain deer,.....etc. Red Panda Pictures: The End! Some biotic and abiotic factors that are near the red
panda are........ Red Pandas need bamboo to eat and they need trees to build a nest for their young. The community that a red panda lives in is
the forest community, either deciduous or
coniferous. and carnivore
