By Nikita And Andrew Glass - Material Where Does Glass Come Form? From what we understand, sand is heated at ultra high temperatures, liquifies, then can be created into a glass object! What Is Glass Used For? Glass is used to make windows, light bulbs, glasses, mirrors, TV screens, bottles, bowls, cups and tones more. Amount Of Energy Used To Make Glass! A lot of energy is used to burn and make the glass as it needs to set and burn hot to mend. Amount Of Energy Used To Recycle Glass! A medium amount of energy is used to recycle glass because the process is very easy and simple to us. Around 10,000 degrees is used to make glass just for it to stay in place. A fair bit of energy is used as you need to mend the glass together. Glass is a very delicate item and even when you blow the glass up to the size you want, you need to be very careful of how much air your putting in the glass to mend it together or else it will break. How Glass Is Recycled? 1. The customer throws glass into a recycle bin.
2. Glass is taken from the bin and taken to a glass
treatment place!
3. The glass is sorted by color and washed to remove
any crust!
4. The glass is then crushed and melted and then molded
into new products for example: Jars, bottles, and so on.
5. The glass gets sent back to the shops and is ready to
