What Is Glass Used For? Glass is used to make windows, light bulbs, glasses, mirrors, TV screens, bottles, bowls, cups and tones more. Amount Of Energy Used To Make Glass! A medium amount of energy is used to recycle glass because the process is very easy and simple to us. Around 10,000 degrees is used to make glass just for it to stay in place. A fair bit of energy is used as you need to mend the glass together. Glass is a very delicate item and even when you blow the glass up to the size you want, you need to be very careful of how much air your putting in the glass to mend it together or else it will break.
