Transcript of Hamsters
What is a Hamster?
A hamster is a small soft rodent sort of like a mouse. Hamsters love to burrow in the dirt or in the bedding in their cages!
How do I take Care of my hamster?
You need to change your hamsters bedding once a week along with its water. Make sure your hamster gets lots of exercise so they can stay healthy and strong. You need to give your hamster something tough to chew on so they can keep their teeth down.
What does my hamster eat?
Your hamster will eat almost any food you give it, so be careful of what you give your hamster. Don't give it to many treats or it could get sick. Sugar is very bad for your hamster. Don't let it eat any. Give your hamster the hamster the hamster food that you get at the pet store
What colors are hamsters?
Hamsters can be so many different colors. The color we know best is a yellowy-orange. some more colors are grey, brown, black, chestnut, and white. Some hamsters are more than one color, like black and white, and black, brown, and white hamsters.
What do hamsters do in the wild?
In the wild, hamsters live much more differently than they do in your home. A hamster will eat bugs, other baby hamsters, and much, much more. They burrow in the ground to make their nests. Hamsters need under ground homes so they have some protection from predators.
Hamsters are rodents belonging to the subfamily Cricetinae. The subfamily contains about 25 species, classified in 6 or 7 genera. They have become established as popular small house pets.
