Transcript of Slender
Erik/Sequel (Slender The Arrival) Gameplay
The player's objective is to collect eight pages located in areas of the forest while avoiding Slender Man, a faceless entity with tentacles sprouting from its back which appear when the player is about to die. The player is equipped with only a flashlight to see through the dark but the flashlight has limited battery life and will eventually die permanently if left on for a long period of time.
After the first page is collected you hear a repeating stomping noise which is arguably Slender Man's movement, or perhaps the player's heartbeat. This sound is heard throughout the rest of the game & gradually gets quicker as more pages are collected, as well as several other sounds. These sounds include a low humming sound (pages 3-4), a loud wind (pages 5-6), and then a mysterious beeping sound (page 7). Once all 8 pages are collected the sounds stop. Slender Man will not stop chasing the player even if all the eight pages have been collected. Once all the pages are collected, you walk around for a couple seconds in silence until Slender appears behind you and ends your game.
Good afternoon students and staff! Today
Lucas Erik and I are going to talk about one of the best games ever! SLENDER-MAN! I am going to talk about the gameplay of slender, while Erik's video is going to talk about the sequal of Slender and Lucas is going to talk about the history of Slender!
The Slender Man is a character that originated as an Internet meme created by user Victor Surge on the Something Awful forums in 2009. It is described as resembling a thin, unnaturally tall man with a blank face, and wearing a black suit. The Slender Man is commonly said to stalk, abduct, or traumatize people, particularly children. The Slender Man was created in a contest launched on the Something Awful forums on June 8, 2009, with the goal of editing photographs to contain supernatural entities. On June 10, a forum poster with the user name "Victor Surge" found two white and black pictures with a group of kids, to which he added a tall, thin spectral figure wearing a black suit. Surge supplemented his submission with text, from witnesses, describing the abductions of the groups of children, and giving the name, "The Slender Man":
In Conclusion, Slender is a really fun game, and we had a really fun time creating this DQ!
