A Timeline
Romeo and Juliet

Romeo describes his passionate love for Rosaline.
A street fight occurs between the Capulets and the Montagues.
At the ball, Romeo sees Juliet; it is love at first sight
The famous balcony scene occurs. Romeo and Juliet realize that their families hate each other, but they swear to love each other. They plan to get married.
Romeo and Juliet are married by Friar Lawrence.
The Nurse helps Romeo with plans to provide ropes to enable Romeo to climb into Juliet's bedchamber as her husband later that night...
Mercutio and Benvolio meet Tybalt. Mercutio is killed by Tybalt. Romeo then kills Tybalt for killing Mercutio.
Juliet refuses her father's wishes to marry Paris and decides she will commit suicide rather than betray Romeo.
Friar Lawrence advises Juliet to pretend to take poison and fake her death, allowing her to escape to Romeo. Knowing she will escape, Juliet "agrees" to marry Paris. Her delighted father brings the wedding forward to Wednesday.
Juliet takes the fake poison.
The nurse discovers that Juliet is "dead". The Capulet family finds out about their daughter's death instantly. The wedding plans get changed to plans for a funeral.
Romeo hears of Juliet's death. He begins his journey to Verona to see the dead body. He plans to commit suicide.
Romeo looks at Juliet in her coffin. Paris sees him, they fight, and Paris is killed. Romeo then takes the poison - just as Juliet awakes. Romeo dies. Juliet takes Romeo's sword and commits suicide. As the Capulets and Montagues gather around the dead lovers, it is revealed that Romeo's mother killed herself in her sorrow for Romeo's banishment. The tragic love story ends as the Montague and Capulet families end their feud.
The Prince of Verona banishes Romeo from Verona.
Unaware of the wedding, Lord Capulet arranges for Juliet to marry Paris on Thursday.
