China is the 3rd largest County in area. 3.748 million sq. miles. How ever Russia and Canada are bigger. China has eight major regions (which we will teach you about). China ranges from subarctic regions in the North and to tropical lowlands in the south, from fertile plains in the east to deserts in the west
Tibetan Highlands

Tibetan Highlands are also known as the Himalaya plateau. So when we say Himalaya plateau we mean the same thing.
The Tibetan Highlands are in the SouthWestern part of China.
which consists of towering high mountains. Two of the worlds largest
rivers run through it The Huang He and Yagntze river begin in the highlands and flow Eastward across China.

Neighbors the vast dry stretches of northwest China. It is thinly populated because of the climate. The eastern part consists of two desert, Mu Us and part of Gobi. Some peeks are up to 20,000 feet high.
Inner Mongolia is located in Northern China.

Inner mongolian lies between Gobi and Eastern Lowlands.It Ranges From the Northern part of region.The Yellow river carved through many of the mountains in Mongolia.It has made many steep edges in Mongolia.
Eastern Highlands
The Eastern Lowlands

The Eastern Lowland is between Inner Mongolian Border , The Eastern Highlands, and some of the south to the Southern Uplands. It has some of China's best farm lands and many of the largest cities.
The Eastern Highlands consist of Shandong Peninsula. Eastern part of the North East.The Highest mountain range in the Eastern highlands is Changbai Mountains.
Central Uplands

The Central Uplands are an area filled with mountains and hills.
One of the mountains is called the Qin Ling Mountain with peeks that rise over 12,000 feet. The Qin Ling crosses over the east and west ,
It forms a natural barricade against seasonal winds.
The Southern Uplands
The Sichuan Basin
The Sichuan Basin is a very large basin. It is surrounded by towering high mountains. The Sichuan Basin river has carved out big gorges in the red sandstone , it makes land travel difficult
The Southern Uplands are a regions of green hills and Mountains.
The Xinjiang river is the main transportation route for China. They have many limestone mountains some reach over 600 ft. They are one of the top producers of rice. The Southern uplands cover most of China.
Hope you were able to learn a few things about the geography of China. We learned a lot of things that we didn't know for example like what Geography means! Did you know it means the land, we didn't! Who know maybe some day you'll go to China and vist one of this amazing places!
Lower Yangtze Valley

The Lower yangtze Valley has the best combination of level and fertile soils and rain fall. The river and its many tibutes formed the most important water routs of China.
China is a very huge country

The highest point is Mount Everest at 29,035 feet high.
The lowest point is Turpan pendi at -505 feet low.
