Transcript of The Nitrogen Cycle

The Nitrogen Cycle! The Nitrogen cycle begins with the lightning going into the soil and giving plants roots the necessary nitrates the need to grow. When Lightning is placed into the soil it is called nitrgoen fixation. When it is firmly in the plants roots the next step occurs. This step is called nitrogen fixation by fungi and bacteria. When Plants and animals decompose and their nitrates go into the air as N2 (nitrogen gas). The N2 then is taken in by trees and goes into the soil once more. When the Nitrogen gas is in the air it can also form into lightning and the cycle starts over again!!
