Caused Africans to be proud of their culture and to study their traditions
World War II inspired Africans to find freedom for their countries
After trying so hard for their independence, countries in Africa finally got the freedom they want
European countries began to give up on their African colonies because of so many Africans demanding freedom
Africa had leaders that spent many years fighting for independence (Africans didn’t give up no matter what)
Military groups helped keep Africans countries from not falling apart, but sometimes they are not fair
Has impacted political and cultural movement
Pan- Africanism remains a very important force in Continental and Diasporic culture and politics
Pan- Africanism is especially important in African American identity politics because of African ancestry of African- American community cannot be derived from any identifiable American people
All African countries except the Western Sahara and Ethiopia
