Statement of the Problem
The method of present system of Premium Bee Foods Corporation has been causing problems.
Objective of the study
Background of the study
Mr. Eugene Tan is the store owner of all the franchise of Premium Bee Foods Corporation in the Philippine. Mr Tan has a total of 6 Jollibee Branch and 2 Chowking located in different part of Luzon. Jollibee is known for fast food industry and it is considered as the no.1 for the Filipino people because of its satisfying taste and yet affordable price. Jollibee Grace Park is one of Mr. Tan’s franchise store and based on the proponent’s research Jollibee Grace Park started year 2000 and its is under the management of the old store manager. After the store renovation at 2005 under the new management of Mrs. Carmelita C. Pernia the store concept change to a new look concept for better dining experiences. As time goes by all the equipment used in the store began to malfunction especially the Bundy Clock used for attendance monitoring. Due to manual processing of time and attendance and the payroll the chance of making an error in all process. The system used at the store is slow and needs to modify by creating an automated time and attendance system that will make the data entry and data gathering will be accurate.

Scope and Delimitation
The study focuses on how to record the time of employee in a more accurate and easiest way. The proposed time and attendance system will be using a barcode reader for fast accessing of the database of the crew. By scanning the ID it will search all the information of the crew for login process. The data of the employee’s logged is automatically saved at the database and will be gather for the 15th day and end of the month for payroll processing. The report then will be evaluated against the attendance of employees. The accounting office that has full authority to manage the database and it will then produce summary reports that could be the basis of payroll.
The proposed system is a Stand-Alone System. It cannot be accessed online and it focuses only on the employee’s time keeping and a payroll system for the accounting of the Premium Bee Foods Corporation.
Organizations of all sizes use time and attendance system to record when employees start and stop work. A time and attendance system provides many benefits to organization. It enables an employer to have a full control of all the employees working hours. It helps control labor costs by reducing over-payments, which are often caused by transcription error. There are two types of process for time and attendance system, the manual process and the automated process. In manual process Bundy clock is considered use system wide for newly Start Company for their time and attendance and it’s been used for over century. While automated time and attendance system can use electronic tags, barcode badges, magnetic strips cards, biometrics and touch screen in place of paper cards which touch or swipe to identify themselves and record their working hours as they enter and leave the working area. The recorded information is then ideally automatically transferred to a computer for processing. An automated system reduces the risk of errors that are common in a manual process, and allows the workforce to be more productivity instead of wasting time on tedious administrative task.
Significance of the Study
The research will be count as a new alternative way of the keeping system for time and attendance as we know the usage of barcode reader for the recorder intense to improve the whole process of work for all the branch of Premium Bee Foods Corp.
The researcher may also serve as a reference to the future researcher, who will make a research connected to the researcher study. Students who are taking computer related courses are the beneficiary or this research they can use this study as their guide lines to make another research.
Time and Attendance System with barcode scanner will lead to the satisfaction of the users wherein they will have the faster and more accurate way of file handling and recording keeping than the existing manual system of the company which can help the other companies or business through this research.
Technology has cause a lot of changes and effects in our society and its surroundings in many aspects. In this study the research did not modify anything that could affect our environment. Thus it lessens the usage of paper and any materials that involve our environment.
This study is conducted in order to determine some problem that may be encountered by the company. In this process of investigation and observation the study identified the major problem of the company is that the manual time and attendance system is inaccurate, And there are some case’s that mishandling of timecard occur that causes for the payroll delay of the employee.

The main objective of this project is to develop a computerized Time and attendance for Premium Bee Food’s Corporation. That will make the operation sufficient and efficient and eliminate human errors and provide data consistency.

In the topic, the researcher illustrates the flow of input, process, and output of the existing system of the Premium Bee foods corporation and the Proposed System.

Bundy Clocks have been used for a long while in workplaces all over the world. The company uses Bundy clocks to record the time and attendance of the employees. But currently the device is broken down and they manually write the time of the employee at the time card.

In this study, the proponents aim to provide a better way of monitoring the time in and time out of the employees. Using Time and attendance system, active realty can handle a faster and easy way of manipulating data, adding more security of records, having accuracy, and very reliable.

The development of “Attendance Monitoring System for Part-Time Instructor of DLSP”

Barcode scanners offer a quick and accurate way for each Part-time instructor to complete time-tracking transactions within Time and Attendance software. Time and Attendance software gives managers the ability to view Part-time instructor’s attendance, performance and efficiency data.
In the Information Technology Department of Dalubhasaan ng Lunsod ng San Pablo, attendance must be monitored in order to protect the files or properties of the part time instructors inside the Dean’s office. Manual time and attendance accuracy suffers because Part-time instructor often sees the task as laborious. They will put it off as long as possible and then do it hurriedly - leading to mistakes and inaccuracies. Automating the process and allowing labor transaction data to be input from multiple devices reduces the time spent on the process and makes it much simpler to input the transactions accurately. Time And Attendance system differs in every company. There are computerized and some still prefer the traditional manual system. Companies operating in a computerized system have much a better and faster production as compared to those operating in manual system. Many companies do not realize the advantage of computerizing system. Based on related literature and studies, it emphasized how important a computerized system than a manual system in a firm. So the researchers has decided to proposed and develop computerized time and attendance system. Researcher gathered data and information needed to be stored in a time and attendance system database.
Synthesis Of the Study
This chapter presents the methods used in the study, the materials and methods, software and hardware specifications, development search, research design, descriptive research, research settings, respondent of the study and statistical treatment of data.
System Software Design is the process by which an agent creates a specification of a software artefact, intended to accomplish goals, using a set of primitive components and subject to constraints. Software design may refer to either all the activities involved in conceptualizing, framing, implementing, commissioning, and ultimately modifying complex systems” or “the activity following requirements specification and before programming, as a stylized software engineering process.
The systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is a process of creating or alternating information systems, and models and methodologies that people use to develop these systems. In software engineering, the SDLC concept underpins many kinds of software development methodologies. These methodologies form the framework for planning and controlling the creation of an information system: the software development process.
Operingation And Testing Procedure
The proponents develop a Time and Attendance System for Premium Bee Foods Corporation – Grace Park Caloocan Branch to have a automated system that will reduce human error that can cause the discrepancy for recording the data of the attendance of the employee and it also will take effect on later the payroll calculation.
Black-box testing is a method of software testing that examines the functionality if an application without peering into its internal structures or working. This method test can be applied to virtually every level of software testing: unit, integration, system and acceptance. It typically compromise most if not all higher level testing, but can also dominate unit testing as well.
Unit Testing is a method by which individual units of source of code, sets of one or more computer program modules together with associated control data, usage procedures, and operating procedures, are tested to determine if they are fit to use.
Stability Testing is an attempt to determine if an application will crash. Component is pushed to the point of crashing to learn where is limitations are. Stability testing can also be used to determine how long a component can operate under high stress, and at what point errors other than a total crash start to occur.
Usability testing is a technique used in user-centred interaction design to evaluate a product by testing it on users. This can be seen as an irreplaceable usability practice, since it gives direct input on how real users use the system.
Microsoft Access, also known as Microsoft Office Access, is a database management system from Microsoft that combines the relational Microsoft Jet Database Engine with a graphical user interface and software-development tools. It is a member of the Microsoft Office suite of applications, included in the Professional and higher editions or sold separately.
Microsoft Access stores data in its own format based on the Access Jet Database Engine. It can also import or link directly to data stored in other applications and databases
Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 is an integrated development environment (IDE) from Microsoft. It used to develop console and graphical user interface applications along with Windows Forms or WPF applications, web sites, web applications and web services and both code together with managed code for all platforms supported by Microsoft Windows Mobile, Windows CE, .Net Framework, .Net Compact Framework and Microsoft Silver light. Visual Studio support different programming languages by means of language services, which allow the code editor and debugger to support (varying degrees) nearly any programming language, provided a language-specific service exists.
INSTRUMENT AND TECHNIQUE USED
Interview – is a conversation between two or more people where questions are asked by the interviewer to elicit facts r statements from the interviewee.
The proponents used interview to gather data that will be used in developing the proposed system.
Observation – is an activity of a living being, such as a human, which is necessary in order to receive knowledge of the world or about the environment through the senses, which often later involves the recording of data via the use of scientific instruments. The proponents used observation to identify the problem and give the objective for the proposed system
Questionnaire / Survey – is a research instrument consisting of a series of questions for the purpose of gathering information from respondents. It have advantages over some other types of surveys in that they are cheap, it often have standardized answers that make it simple to compile data.The proponent used surveys to know the view of the students and can be used by the proponent to identify the main problem of the school.
is type of evaluation procedure that aims at gaining an understanding of how the user interacts with the proposed system.
The proponents used the procedure that aims on the proposed system feasible and user - friendly.
Efficiency – is a type of evaluation procedure that aims on the proposed system’s ability to do simple process while doing more with less. The goal is to accomplish the same tasks and functions with less time and work.
The proponents used the procedure to lessen the time of printing lectures and to have an automated grade for every student.
Reliability – is a type of evaluation procedure that aims to set a step that will ensure that the proposed system can complete the correct task without any error.
The proponents used the procedure to perform and maintain ita functions in routine circumstances.
Portability – is a type of evaluation that ensures that the system is designed to be easily carried and moved.
The proponents used the procedure to have an accessible education even at school, computer shops or at home with internet connection availability.
The liker’s scale technique presents a set of attitude statements. Subjects are asked to express agreement or disagreement of a five-point scale. Each degree agreement is given a numerical value from one to five. Thus, the total numerical value can be calculated for all the responses.
Statistical Treatment of Data
Statistical treatment of data is essential in order to make use of the data in the right form. Raw data collection is only one aspect of any experiment; the organization of data is equally important so that appropriate conclusions can be drawn. This is what statistical treatment of data is all about.
Weighted Mean – is similar to an arithmetic mean (the most common type of average), where instead of each of the data points contributing equally to the final average, some data points contribute more than others. The notion of weighted mean plays a role in descriptive statistics and also occurs in a more general form in several other areas of mathematics.
A statistical examination of two population means. A two-sample t-test examines whether two samples are different and is commonly used when the variances of two normal distributions are unknown and when an experiment uses a small sample size.
PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION
Respondents of the study
The study composed of time and attendance system that is fits for the following respondents. The respondents of the study consist of 30 respondents. Range from 20-48 years of age. The respondents were divided into two (2) groups: the IT users and the non-IT users. The researcher selected fifteen (15) and fifteen (15) respondents from each group to participate in the study and provide feedback. The It professional are those graduate of any computer related course such as IT(Information Technology).
The system designed to operate with the use of device. Survey shows that the hardware needed to operate the system was functional enough to perform needed task. Even with the practical price of the hardware still it functions reliably. This proves that the system meet the technical standards.
According to the result and finding, respondents justify that the system is operationally feasible in acquiring the requirements that the users needed for system. The respondents had their gather ideas from the expert in the development of the system.
Summary and Findings
1. Evaluation shows that the system was able to justify the aim in proving a convenient and accurate way of time management and generating a time management for Premium Bee Foods Corporation by the use of time and attendance system. The store and the accounting office was able to jump several task in their operating us with the help of the proposed system.
2. The system solved the particular problem gives the user’s needed in the system to perform the task.
3. The proponents thoroughly signify the substantial content of the project and imply their suggestions for the future enhancement of the system.
Based on the experimental the proponent concludes that:
1. The problem during time summary saw the importance of automated system from manual in terms of safety of the data first of all and the factors that slows the process.
2. The proposed system shows the accurate time keeping of every employee. It also helps the transaction to be more efficient and reliable.
3. The proposed Time and Attendance system for Premium Bee Foods Corporation
1. Premium Bee Foods Corporation should implement the proposed system to improve their process in terms of time management.
2. The system can also implement to the other branches of the company for accurate monitoring of time keeping of the employee and data report.
3. The proposed system is recommends for the flexibility of the system to upgrade the software and hardware requirements in the future.
