IN 500 B.C.E, THEY HAD A GOVERNMENT AND DEMOCRACY LIKE TODAY. WHEN A FEMALE TURNED 15 YEARS OLD, HER FATHER WOULD PICK A HUSBAND THAT'S ABOUT 30 YEARS OLD FOR HER.

Botja olives, beef, Greek sweetmeats, fish, wheat, grapes, breads, pomegranates, turnips, figs, dried dates, fresh dates, beans, peas, onions, garlic, melons, eggs, cheese. The greek sweetmeats are made out of honey, nuts, figs, sesame seeds, and dates.

Poseidon is the brother of Zeus and Hades and he is the god that controlled the sea.
Hephaestus the god of fire and metalwork. His parents were Zeus and Hera. He married Aphrodite
Ares is the god of war. His parents were Zeus and Hera. He didn't care whoever won or lost, he only liked seeing massacre. Ares usually caused troubles
Hades is Zeus brother and he is the ruler of the underworld. He is in love with Persephone who eventually became the Queen of the Underworld.

THEY GOT THE WORD "DEMOCRACY" BY THE GREEK WORDS.. DEMOS MEANING THE PEOPLE AND CRATOS MEANING POWER, SO IT'S LIKE SAYING THAT THE PEOPLE HAVE THE POWER. INSTEAD OF A GOVERNMENT MEETING, THEY MET IN AN ASSEMBLY CALLED "PNYX". THE ASSEMBLY TOOK 40 TIMES A YEAR AND THAT IS EVERY 8 TO 10 DAYS

THE WOMEN IN ANCIENT GREECE HAD THE RIGHTS TO OWN CLOTHING, SLAVES, JEWLRY, AND EVEN LAND!
THE MALES WHO WERE BORN IN ATHENS COULD BE A CITIZEN BUT SOMETIMES A SLAVE, THE METICS COULDN'T TOO BECAUSE THEY WEREN'T BORN IN AHTENS. BUT THE MALE CITIZENS COULD ONLY PARTICIPATE IN THE GOVERNMENT. THE WOMENS COULDN'T PARTICIPATE BECAUSE THEY HAD TO TAKE CARE OF THE HOUSE AND THE KIDS.

Interesting Facts about Religion
Most Greeks weren't wealthy and ate few meat making them have a big diet.
The wealthy people were probably lucky because they get to eat lots of meat.
The food they also ate is pita bread and hummus,pita bread and tazaki, pickled hering, and greek salad.
During the Olympic games, only the men could only participate. The olympic event happens every 4 years. The Olympic games included sports such as boxing, javelin, chariot racing, riding, pankration, discuss, wrestling, running, jump, and pentathlon. It helped the men train for war too. The women can not watch when the men were participating and they also couldn't participate in sports.

In ancient Greece, clothes were made from the women and that's because it's their responsibility around the house.
The men didn't were clothes that much, but the women wore lots of clothes.
Clothes for both men and women in Ancient Greece were interesting. Now, clothes are way different from the clothes then. Now we have pants and others but not much dress-like clothes for men.

Poseidon also had many wives, but Amphitrite wasn't jealous unlike Hera, Zeus wife.
Women had little responsibility in government.
If the Athens had a baby this is what they would put on their doors, If they had a girl they would put wool on the door, which meant she will grow up as a homemaker. If they had a boy they would put an olive branch on the door, which meant the sign of victory.
