MY SISTER MADE ME A FAN
I'm Marcelina and I'm seventeen. I'm from Poland. I live in Warszowice and go to school in Jastrzębie-Zdrój.
I'm a high school student, a sister and a daughter and in my free time - I am a keen fan of volleyball. The Poland national volleyball and Jastrzębski Węgiel (Jastrzębski Coal) are my favourites.
It was on 2nd December 2009, when my sister, who was fond of volleyball, went to Spain. At that time a match with Panathinaikos AO was arranged for and free Jastrzębski Węgiel T-shirts were to be given away. She asked me to go to this match and take a T-shirt for her. I agreed and that's how my adventure with volleyball began.

Me in the lucky T-shirt
is a volleyball team based in Jastrzębie - Zdrój. The President is Zdzisław Grodecki and the head coach is Lorenzo Bernardi.
Me and my friends at the match
At first, when I became a fan, I went to the matches with my sisters and cousins. We had admission cards, so we went to every match :)
What the matches look like
Jastrzębski Węgiel play their matches at the sports hall in Jastrzębie or in the opponent's city. I look on matches in Jastrzębie. Only once did I go to a match in Katowice, but it wasn't the team from Jastrzębie that played then. It was Poland national team's encounter against Canada in May 2012. The day before I had won two tickets in a competition on Facebook - it was a very nice surprise to me. I went to this match with my sister Monika. The atmosphere in the stand is always absolutely amazing. Volleyball players claim Polish fans are the best in the world. I can totally agree with that, especially at national team games. Singing the Polish national anthem a capella, supporting players in difficult moments and white and red stands during every match - it makes the encounters magnificent. I think it's showing patriotism, in a way. That's why, among other reasons, I love volleyball.
Thank you for watching my presentation. I hope you liked it :)
