Andrew Jackson died June 8,1845 in Nashville,Tennessee. Before The Presidency Andrew Jackson went to school in Salisbury,South Carolina to study law. Before he became a president Jackson was a lawyer, soldier, and congressman.
Andrew was the 7th president and his vice president was John c Calhoun, and Martin Van Buren. President Andrew only did two terms. He served till March 4,1829 to March 4,1837 The Presidential Years Andrew Jackson gave government jobs
to people in his party.The Cherokee,
Choctaw, Creek, and Native people lost
a lot of land to the United States. Jackson gave laws making the Natives leave their lands and move more west.
Andrew ran for president again in 1832.
He campaigned against banks that had control on the nations money. He thought it would damage Americas business.Jackson mostly did not agree with congress and used his veto power
to stop new laws from being passed. This powerful work gave the presidency more strength and power After The Presidency Andrew left office because he already served two terms. When he left office he decided to go back to his home town named Hermitage. Andrew Jackson
By Asma Bushara Fun Facts Jackson was the first president to come from a poor family. He joined the militia when he was 13 years old. When he was 14 him and his brother were held prisoners and they were orphans. His dad died before he was even born. Jackson's wife was buried on Christmas. Andrew was also born on his uncles plantation. I got my information from a book called United States Presidents. The author is Anne Welsbacher. The publishers are ABDO publishing company. The place of publication was Viking Drive,Edina Minnesota. And the year is 1999
