The Plan of Salvation
Transcript of The Plan of Salvation
When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? Jeremiah 1:5- Before I thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. Ecclesiastes 12:7- Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it. Agency Genesis 2:16- 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: Deut. 30:19- 19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: Joshua 24:15- 15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve...but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Faith to me can be described as hope for things that are not necessary there or can be proven in certain terms. Knowing and having confidence in something or someone. To me this means that you have not only a change of mind. But also a change of heart. That you are willing to come to the Lord and change from what you have done. And will do in the future. To me for being a recent convert I can see the many important things about being baptized in that we are forgiven of our past things. But that baptism is available to all to establish a covenant with heavenly father. And that it is only the beginning. This is a very important thing that Heavenly Father gave to us. He wanted us to understand the importance of having the spirit in a man. And have it guide them in their understanding. Spirit World •Ecclesiastes 12:7
7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
-When we die our bodies and spirits are separated. The spirit goes to the spirit world and is in the presence of God. •Job 3:17
17 There the wicked cease from troubling; and there the weary be at rest.
-In the spirit world people will have time to rest and have peace. •Isaiah 42:7
7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
-The Lord will free those who are in spirit prison that have accepted His plan. Resurrection •Job 19: 26
26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
-Our bodies will be reunited with our spirits and we will be resurrected before judgment day. •Ezekiel 37:12
12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.
-The Lord will resurrect our spirits and bodies together after we die on earth. •Daniel 12:2
2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
-Everyone will be resurrected and brought into the presence of the Lord because Christ’s atonement saves everyone from the first spiritual death. •Psalms 50 3-4
3 Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.
4 He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.
-Heavenly Father will be the judge over his people during judgment day. •Ecclesiastes 12:14
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
-When Heavenly Father judges us, He will look at all of our works and nothing will be left in secret. •Ecclesiastes 3:17
17 I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.
-Judgment day is set apart for Heavenly Father to judge all of His people based on their actions here on earth. The righteous and the wicked will receive what they deserve based on their actions in mortality. God is, in all actuality, our Heavenly Father. He loves us more than we can imagine, and he wants us to succeed in this life. We lived with Him before we were born and were taught eternal truths at His feet. Before being born, we lived in God's presence in the pre-mortal realm, also known as the Spirit World. There we grew and matured and were taught the things of eternity. While there we did not have a body, hence the necessity of being born on Earth and receiving one. God's greatest gift to us is the ability to choose. Agency is a precious gift given to us, allowing us to determine our own path. God sets both choices before us and allows us to decide. He will not force us to do anything, though he encourages and teaches us what is right. •Matthew 25:34
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.
40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.
