Globalization
& The Brain Drain
THAT was globalization
Globalization is the process of international integration arising from the interchange of world views, products, ideas, and other aspects of culture. In particular, advances in transportation and telecommunications infrastructure, including the rise of the Internet, are major factors in globalization and precipitate further interdependence of economic and cultural activities.
Straight-up copied from Wikipedia
Globalization is the process by which the world becomes one. Because of new technology, and the exchange of people and therefore culture, no one place in the world is too cut off from the rest. We're all connected.
Straight-up copied from my brain region
Wazzat?
"Brain Drain" is the large-scale emigration of a large group of individuals with technical skills or knowledge towards developed countries of opportunity.

Brain drain is common amongst developing nations, such as the former colonies of Africa, the island nations of the Caribbean, and particularly in centralized economies such as former East Germany and the Soviet Union, where marketable skills were not financially rewarded.
Love copy/paste so badly
Brain Drain is when EDUCATED or SKILLED people in countries of ORIGIN immigrate to countries of DESTINATION because of the better opportunities there.

EVALUATION
In groups of 4, make a Prezi on ANYTHING we've done so far in the "Population" theme.

Your Prezi's path should include approximately 25 frames.

You will post the link to your presentation (using the "share" option) to our class website. This way I, as well as your classmates, can use these presentations to study later.

You will be graded on content, clarity, the value of the information being presented, as well as your ability to use the Prezi software.

QUESTIONS?
COMMENTS? VIOLENT REACTIONS?
