Due to the revolution of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) that has emerged recently, the need of having new applications to cope with this rapid growing in the amount of ICT.
Having these applications reduce the complexity when it is done by the new technology adopters.
One of the benefits of these applications is the flexibility of dealing with it. Especially with the availability of the high capabilities computer hardware and software.
In addition, there are some processes that are difficult to be applied directly in a real environment, either to their complexity, severity and inability to predict the possible outcomes of this process accurately.

Today, technology has become an important and essential element of education to reach to innovation and invention stage, the virtual reality is one of the most attractive innovation application which has achieved distinctive shift in education and training sector that enable learner to reach these stages due to its safety, appropriate cost and possibility of control at various stages.
It also allows learners to deal with interactive and realistic environment. Virtual reality is being applied in many fields such as military training, unclear power stations, chemical experiments and many other fields, but this study mainly focuses on VR technology and its application in the higher education .

Research Importance:
Virtual reality technology is a modern technique came strongly and proved itself into the classroom in many universities in developed countries.
Using VR with Hologram technology in education create an innovative teaching aid and superior learning experience.
It has enormous uses in many fields especially in medical and engineering, besides the development of hardware and software simulates different surgical operation as anatomy processes of organs and tissues and Endoscopy operations


Erickson : illustrated that the hologram technology added great value and improvements in surgical operations by using Three-dimensional(3D) medical images, thing that enhanced significantly on the quality and readability of radiological image. Therefore, using hologram technology in 3D images elevated in health care quality, due to (accuracy, clarity, and resolution of the image), reduce the medical errors in diagnosis phase which mainly depends on radiological images and decreasing require time to read these images, write reports and take appropriate decision. So. Applying holographic 3D radiological image technology proved the effectiveness, robustness and reliability in health care sector. In addition, using laser beam in hologram to record images led to impressive results especially when the development succeed in utilizing holograph in ultrasound, CT and X-rays which create more stability and safety health care environment. Therefore, work is continuing today towards using hologram technology and other associated technologies to found actual 3D display imagery to improve radiological imagery which elevates the level of medical and health care.

Existing System Description

The proposed system goals for this work are to design application by using the Hologram technology to be able to deliver the ability and skills for the students and trainees which they lack at this educational stag, especially the medicine students who deal with human lives.

Generally, this suggested system elevates the educational process, it reduce the risks and disasters might be done by the students during their study or after their school.

Proposed System Goals
The Virtual Reality Platform with Hologram technique can be applied in several school classes and universities. promote teamwork and remote collaboration around VR display systems.
To establish Virtual Reality Platform with Hologram technique for education. Firstly we will choose "Sattam bin Abdulaziz university" in our case study, then we select the one topic from topics which taught in university that's so difficult for students to understand it without using Hologram technique.

The current education system was very simple; the teachers were used many ways to give his/here course for their students.
In any educational place the students sat on their places and listen to the teacher, and the teacher used different educational ways to give the lecture to the students.

Advantages and disadvantages of an existing system
There are many advantages of current system such as:
Easier educational way
Dot needs much technology devices, just the necessary device.
Good on non activity material, that’s mean in simple topics and which don’t need further explanation.
Don’t need much hard work.
There are many disadvantages of current systems such as:
Difficult on subjects that’s need more and further explanation especially in geometric, medicine, biology, mathematics field.
Decrease Students interactivity
Learning based on instructor as the first priority.
Difficult for students to understand the material alone if he was absent from lecture, especially on spatial visualization.

Objectives of proposed system:
1-To fill the gap between students understanding and teacher explanation. And to provide a natural setting for face-to-face collaboration of teachers and students.
2-Allow student to be taught by virtual teacher who far distance from them behind e-learning.
3-Encouraging informal learning that is easily accessible may prove particularly effective in engaging students, extending learning to spaces that might help them form connections with content and share it with.
4-Hologram adding clear information and meaning to a real object or place.
5-Ability to connect academic content and practices with students' physical world.
6-Very interesting to view different angle of an object which is very needed in case of imagination especially in Scientifics area example: can be used to study the anatomy and structure of the body in biology, collaborate by interacting with each other for some issues on shapes or arrangements in mathematics,…etc.
7-increase the number of experts in virtual educational room.

6-Transportation or Shipping: we need to shop the Hologram device from outside kingdom of Saudi Arabia

8-Technology: used hologram device, computer , mobile device, flash.

User functions:
1. View information of picture:
this includes the most elementary function of Hologram- augmented reality that provide information on what picture the user is looking at.
2. View information using other display types:
The user can display the 3D picture using mobile device, camera, to enable him to change the situation of 3D picture and see it from different perspective, also store the material on it.
3. Specify displayed information types:
the framework should support the enabling and disabling of types of information to be shown by the user.
4. Get information adapted to the context:
it should be possible to adapt the information provided to the user if its more or less information about picture visualization.

System administrator functions:
Enter information:
system administrators can draw, add, remove and change the information. This could be performed according the topics choose.

View and keep logs:
To see what information and pictures has passed through the system.

Non-Functional Requirements
the application should respond rapidly to the user’s movements and the response very quickly.

Changing, adding and removing information and information sources should be facilitated.

When storing 3Dpictures on a system, removing all personal information from the data related to instructors.
Used information representations and communication tools should be working with different area.
For viewing 3D pictures using one mobile device should communicate with systems.
It should be easy for the users to install and use the application either self-explanatory or well-documented, ease of learning, naturalness, and intuitiveness.
How much times system fails to respond. Usually mean time between failures (MTBF) used as measurement.
Ability to interact directly with image.

Today, technology has become an important and essential element of education to reach to innovation and invention stage, the virtual reality is one of the most attractive innovation application.



A hologram is a two- or three-dimensional medium presenter, its formed when a point source of light arriving from an object. Thus, the viewer sees an image inside the device presenter from the original object. There are many types of holograms such as reflection hologram and transmit ion hologram.

1-Reflection hologram:
It’s a three dimensional image display, the hologram is illuminated by a spot of light that held from specific distance and angle, the image consist the light reflected from the spot.
2-Transmission hologram:
Typical transmission hologram is viewed with laser light, usually of the same type used to make the recording. This light is directed from behind the hologram and the image is transmitted to the observer’s side. The virtual image can be very deep, and a different perspective is observed

Types of holograms
1. The laser send a light inside the device :used red laser
2. The beam splitter: this device that uses mirror and prisms to split laser beam of light into two beams :
A. object beam( directed onto object) : bounced off the object
B. and reference beam (travels directly onto recording medium ) : deflected toward the film

3. mirror : these direct the beams of the light to the correct location.
4. Holographic film : can record the light at a very high resolution which is necessary for creating a hologram( after that the development film plate aggregate the beams again :
A. beam recoverage
B. second beam is reflected off the plates )
