Communism What is Communism? Communism is a type of
government. It is a system of organization
that is based on holding all
property in common. For example, the government
would own all property such as
factories, farms, and houses. Why would the Nazis
be threatened by
communism? They wanted everyone to
follow Hitler and his way
government. They believed that communism
would be bad for nations
because it eliminated the
concept of private property They also opposed capitalism. They opposed capitalism because they thought it was not good for the economy. The Nazis supported socialism.
They wanted to help the economy
and help the rights of workers
for fair pay and overall social welfare. They also associated it
with the Jews. Everything is owned by the government instead of individual people. Karl Marx Karl Marx was the person
that founded communism. He was a German philosopher and economist who wrote the "Communism Manifesto" with Das Kapital. This book was about the basis of the theory of communism. His ideas were known as Marxism.
