The following items ARE accepted in the curbside recycling program:
Pasteboard (i.e., cereal boxes, empty paper towel and toilet paper rolls, soda boxes, tissue boxes, gift boxes, pizza boxes and shoe boxes)
Brown paper grocery bags
Newspaper,magazines and catalogs
White and Colored Paper
Plastic Containers #1-7
Glass bottles and jars (clear, green and brown)
Steel cans and tin household containers, such as food cans
Please rinse out all containers and discard lids

My Summary of..
-Recycling protects and expands US manufacturing jobs and increases US competitiveness.
-Recycling reduces the need for landfilling.
-Recycling prevents pollution caused by the manufacturing of products from virgin materials.
-Recycling saves energy.
-Recycling decreases greenhouse gases that contribute to global climate change.
-Recycling conserves natural resources such as wood, water, and minerals.
-Recycling helps sustain the environment for future generations.
There are many ways to produce less waste:
Reduce the amount and toxicity of trash you
throw away and reuse containers and products.
Recycle as much as possible and buy products with recycled content.
Practice composting by using microorganisms (mainly bacteria and fungi) to decompose organic waste, such as food scraps and yard trimmings.

The Seminole county government offers a variety of environmentally friendly services. They offer curb side recycling and even special purpose recycling. The recycle just about everything from glass, paper, and plastic to Christmas trees. Do you have lots of cardboard to get rid of? The Seminole County Recycling Program can easily recycle that with just one special phone call to get it all arranged.
