Theory Stimuli n. (plural stimuli /-l, -li/)
Events or occurrences in the environment of an organism that influence its behavior. Contingent /kntinjnt/ dependent on or conditioned by something else. PEOPLE STIMULI ENVIRONMENT EFFECTS Deciding Stage Organism Learning is an internal event, however, it is not recognized as learning until it is displayed by overt behavior. "We can be taught best when the focus is directly on what we experience"
According to behaviorist, a person's behavior is objective, which can be controlled by conditioning. We as a group formulated that our behavior is dependent upon a stimuli. We react to a certain event by showing a corespondent behavior.
Give me a dozen healthy infants, well-formed, and my own specified world to bring them up in and I'll guarantee to take any one at random and train him to become any type of specialist I might select -- doctor, lawyer, artist, merchant-chief and, yes, even beggar-man and thief, regardless of his talents, penchants, tendencies, abilities, vocations, and race of his ancestors.--John Watson, Behaviorism, 1930
