Transcript of Poseidon's Birth story

Poseidon the Greek god of the land and sea is the son of Cronus and Rhea. At birth he was eaten by Cronus. Rhea hid one child, Zeus, from Cronus and was later forced to regurgitate Poseidon and the other brothers and sisters The world was divided between the three brothers Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon, who rolled dice to see who would get what part of the world. Zeus ended up gaining control of the earth and sky, Hades, the underworld, and Poseidon, the sea. http://www.enjoy.org/hstech/webclass04/thinkquest04/mythology/Rosa%20Marie/Poseidon%27s%20Stories.html
