Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Transcript of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Teresa Soisson and Sarah Xiong Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows When Harry goes to visit his parent's grave, he finds a reference to the Deathly Hallows. Dumbledore also left Hermione a book of fairy tales with the Deathly Hallows symbol in it. Then, they saw Mr. Lovegood with the Deathly Hallows symbol around his neck. Curious, Harry, Ron, and Hermione decide to ask Mr. Lovegood about the Deathly Hallows. So, Mr. Lovegood told the story about the 3 brothers and how the Deathly Hallows were formed. What will Harry choose to find: Hallows or
Horcruxes? There were once three brothers that escaped Death. Death was angry that he had been cheated out of three new victims, so he tricked the brothers and gave them magical, amazing gifts. The first brother got a wand that could never loose a duel, the second brother got a stone to bring back the dead, and the third brother got the cloak of invisibility. After they got their gifts, they separated, each for his own destination. Deathly Hallows 3rd Brother: The Cloak of Invisibility 2nd Brother: The Resurrection Stone 1st brother: The Elder Wand The first brother traveled to an inn, boasted loudly about owning a wand that never lost. That night, a man sneaked into the first brother's room, stole the wand, and killed the brother. And so Death took him for his own. The second brother traveled to his home and used the stone to bring back his lover. Yet she was separated from the world as by a veil, for she was not truly alive. So the second brother, driven mad, killed himself to be with his lover. And so Death took him for his own. The third brother, the wisest, lived a long and happy life, for death was never able to find him. The third brother didn't trust Death and hid from him for very many years. When he finally took the cloak off, he gave the cloak to his son. Then he greeted Death as an old friend, and departed this life. When Voldemort left Hogwarts, he split his soul into pieces, hiding them in items that have sentimental value to himself, or to the 4 Hogwarts houses.
In Harry Potter's 2nd year at Hogwarts, he battled one of Voldemort's Horcruxes that he left at Hogwarts
In Harry Potter's 6th year, Dumbledore found and destroyed a ring that was horcux. So there are 5 Horcruxes left. Horcruxes (cc) image by nuonsolarteam on Flickr The Diary In Harry's 2nd year at Hogwarts, he had to fight Tom Riddle (Voldemort) in the Chamber of Secrets. Tom used the diary to posses Ginny Weasley and try to get rid of the muggle-borns. vs. The Ring When Harry was in his 6th year at Hogwarts, he found out about Horcruxes for the 1st time. Dumbledore explained to him about them and let Harry help him find some. One of the ones that he found was a ring that once belonged to Tom Riddle's grandfather. Dumbledore distroyed it, but not before it did major damage to his hand. Body Either he dies or Voldemorts dies, as it said in the prophesis The Locket On the day Dumbledore died ( in Harry's 6th year at Hogwarts) They both went to a secrete place with caverns and a lake to find and distroy it. In the secrete place, there were many challenges they had to face: a door that only opened when blood was on it, a lake filled with possesed dead people, and a potion that they had to drink to find the locket. But soon after, Harry discovered that the locket was a fake and that a person named R.A.B had the locket. After about 2 mounths, Harry, Ron, and Herminone found out that R.A.B was actually Sirius Black's ( Harry's Godfather who died in the 5th year) brother. So then the team found the locket and distroyed it by using the sword of Griffendore a few months later. Harry Potter has to fulfill his terrifying destiny. He has to kill his arch nemesis, Voldemort, before he kills everyone. But Voldemort has 7 things that stop Harry from killing him. Voldemort has 7 Horcruxes hidden all over the world and it's Harry, Ron, and Hermione's job to find and destroy them before Voldemort takes over the muggle and wizard world. There is something else included in their quest, the Deathly Hallows, a quest that Dumbledore never mentioned. Now, Harry needs to choose between a quest for Dumbledore, or a quest for himself. Summary: What are the Deathly Hallows? The Snake Voldemort put one of his last pieces of his soul into his evil, vicious pet, a snake named Nigai. The snake is really hard to kill because it is almost always by Voldemort's side, so you can't just sneak in and kill it. Voldemort lets the snake finish off his enemies by letting the snake eat the victims. He also sent the snake to enter a woman's body and act like the woman to try and kill Harry and his friends. The Diadem A diadem looks like a tiara and is what Voldemort used for one of his Horcrux. The diadem once belonged to Helena Ravenclaw, one of the founding members of Hogwarts. The diadem was lost for hundreds of years because Helena Ravenclaw's daughter got jealous of her and hid it, so it was lost until Tom Riddle found it and made a Horcrux out of it. It was said that the diadem made you the smartest person alive. The Goblet The goblet was once owned by Helga Hufflepuff, a Hogwarts founder and one of the Houses at Hogwarts. Bellatrix Lestange, a evil helper of Voldemort, had it in a vault at Hogwarts. When the team found out about the cup, they (with a help of a goblin) stole the cup out of the vault and used the protection dragon as there escape route. Read the book to find out what happens next, but it will be helpful if you read all the other books first. =) The Ring When Harry was in his 6th year at Hogwarts, he found out about Horcruxes for the 1st time. Dumbledore explained to him about them and let Harry help him find some. One of the ones that he found was a ring that once belonged to Tom Riddle's grandfather.
