Transcript of Dystopian

This novel follows the conscience of Anaximander as she applies for a position at the Academy. The Academy consists of the most elite class in the society and is very influential.
We follow Anax's emotional triumph's and failures as she is interrogated by a demeaning panel of examiners.

A disillusioned society
Protagonist meddles with ideas that are frowned upon
A novel set in a futuristic era or parallel world. The society of the time is ruled with harsh discipline and is convinced under false pretences that this will bring hope for the future. This setting is very powerful as it is noy far from our reality and so inclines that our future could be the same. The protagonist of the story rebels against the society for what is right. This causes controversy and confusion within the community and for the ruling power.

The Hunger Games- Suzanne Collins

The book Hunger games is set in a strict society that once a year picks out two volunteers from each of the twelve districts. They then fight to the death to see who will win and become victorious for their district. But the protagonists rebel and try to defy the capital.
The books shows the difficulties of friendship and trust throughout the novel. Suzane Collins incorporates a love triangle between her friend and other tribute. The troubles of sticking together as a family are shown throughout the film as a theme. It is shown by the struggle of them finding food and sticking together through hardships.
Genesis - Bernard Beckett

Genesis follows the story of young Anaximander as she applies for a position at the Academy- a selection of the most elite minds of society. Anax is interrogated over many hours by the demeaning panel of examiners. But as time elapses, Anax begins to become suspicious of the morals, of her society, and in turn those in ruling power become suspicious of her interest in subjects which ought not to be meddled in.
Catching Fire - Suzanne Collins

As the second in the Hunger Games trilogy, Catching fire continues to follow the journeys of Katniss Everdeen and her life in District twelve. In the previous book, Katniss defied the Capitol's morals but in doing so, she made an enemy. Now the Hunger Games have returned and Katniss is in for a terrible surprise as the Capitol take their revenge.
