Transcript of Untitled Prezi
-Then Emma's mother, also asleep, upstairs.
-And finally Emma Niederbrock who was in her room downstairs asleep. None of the victims awoke during the attack. Sam stayed with the bodies until Emma's father, Mark came in from work. Sam then killed him and moved Melanie and his body into Emma's room down the hall. After cleaning up, Sam recorded an apology and stated he realized he'd need to pay for his actions and spoke about suicide. Sam stole Mark's vehicle, wrecked it, and then went to the airport where he awaited a plane back to California.
While waiting the police showed up and arrested him. He didn't resist arrest at all. When asked why he did it he said simply that "Jesus told me to do it" and then laughed.
He pled guilty so that the issue wouldn't go to trial where he would be sentenced to death. He now resides in Red Onion State Prison serving his life sentence. Personal Reflections I couldn't believe how Syko Sam went from one of my favorite artists to a serial killer in less than 2 years all because of an online relationship. As far as the suicide/apology video that he left behind, that was ridiculously stupid. If he really believed he deserved to pay for his actions he would have stayed there after confessing to the murders. I still have a little bit of respect for him because of his willingness to be arrested. He could've ran easily but instead he cooperated. I have actually written him in prison before and he doesn't seem like the kind of guy to murder someone. He is very regretful but still doesn't need to be released. Emma, Mel, Mark, and Debra were all victims in a wrong place wrong time situation. It's not good that he killed 4 but one would have been better than being a serial killer. I believe Emma would have been murdered either way.
