Vincent van Gogh Paintings
The Starry Night
This painting interested me because it makes me think of some type of fairytale book. Vincent van Gogh's inspiration to make this painting was his home. When he was missing his home at the asylum he admitted himself to, he made this painting completely from his memory.
The Potato Eaters
Irises
This painting interested me because it looked really realistic. Van Gogh's inspiration for this painting was the nature around him at the asylum and Japanese works that were famous at the time.
Starry Night Over the Rhone

Starry Night Over the Rhone
interested me because it was beautiful and because I thought it had something to do with
The Starry Night
. Vincent van Gogh's inspiration for
Starry Night Over the Rhone
was the happiest time in his life at his house.

Cafe Terrace at Night
This painting interested me because I thought of New York City when I saw it. Van Gogh's inspiration for
Cafe Terrace at Night
was the cafe that he saw out of the window at his house.

The Potato Eaters
interested me because of it's name. Vincent van Gogh was inspired to make this painting by the future. He wanted his reputation to boost as an artist, so he tried practicing his techniques in this painting to make his future bright.
