Cells are the basic structural and functional unit.
structural unit= organisms are built out of cells
functional unit= this is where the physiology occurs
Cells are the smallest living unit.

–collection of related organs with a common function
–sometimes an organ is part of more than one system
group of 2 or more tissue types into a recognizable structure w/a specific function.
