Transcript of The Great Depression

The reason why everyone was depressed was for many reasons, for example, the stock market crash in 1929, 1930 bank fail (everyone lost there saving and became broke), drought conditions, farmers selling farms, less foreign trade and black Saturday. Many described it as awful and sad but they tried their best to survive The Great Depression. Many people were poor so they had to go door to door asking for food, but people would say “no” and give them no sympathy. Parents were looking for work (because they got fired from their old ones) but everyone was turning them down. Some people starved to death and others lived out-side in tents. During The Great Depression, women worked harder while their husbands were unemployed. Everyone found The Great Depression Terrible and emotional. By Gabriella Also younger people found it easier to find jobs, but then, they were sacked at the age at 16, 18 or 20.
