Box and Whisker Plot Pictograph- compares data by using pictures
Histogram- form of bar graph that shows the relationship between things but, unlike a bar graph, it deals with continuous categories rather than discrete.
Cosmographs- similar to pie charts; commonly used to monitor finances
Organizational Charts- show a diagram that displays overall structure
Flow Charts-shows a diagram with a starting point and ending point which usually displays a process Other Types of Graphs Pie Chart What is it? A pie chart is a circular chart divided into sectors, illustrating proportion.
The pie chart is perhaps the most widely used statistical chart in the business world and the mass media. •Do you want to compare the parts to each other or the parts to the whole? If the main purpose is to compare between the parts, use a different chart. The main purpose of the pie chart is to show part-whole relationships.
•How many parts do you have? If there are more than five to seven, use a different chart. Pie charts with lots of slices (or slices of very different size) are hard to read.
