What do I do afterwards?

Write a THANK YOU to your host
-Choose several areas of interest
-Think about contacts YOU might have (i.e parents, relatives,
neighbors, your doctor, dentist, banker, or your favorite restaurant
-Don't call local hospitals for job shadows
-Prepare a Perfect resume
-Prepare Goals & Objectives
-Have your PACE B Teacher review your resume and Goals & Objectives
* Have a calender and potential contact form handy
*Introduce yourself professionally
*Be prepared to explain your request (what a job shadow means, that it is 4-8 hours, etc.)
*Be appreciative
*Ask questions
*Be professional (i.e. voicemail/email)
* Complete Potential Contact form by calling or visiting two hosts and filling in the required information before requesting assistance.

* Bring resume, Goals & Objectives, and Completed Potential Contact List to the College & Career Center
