Let's explore together!

How can I use GOOGLE at work?
Do I have a Google Account?
What is Google Drive?
I can't keep track of my schedule...
Is there a calendar we can share?
What other services does Google offer?

Organizing your Files and Folders
Folders make it easy to organize all of your files and Google documents, spreadsheets, and presentations in Google Drive. Folders can also be stored hierarchically, like folders on your desktop. In addition, folders can be shared.
If you've chosen to sync a particular folder to your Google Drive folder,
changes made to a folder
on the web will be reflected on your computer, and vice versa.
If you
remove
a file from a shared folder, collaborators with access to the folder will no longer see the item in their Google Drive. Lets look at some examples next.
Now we can get STARTED!
From this point you can now access your Email, your Google Drive, and your Calendar.

Lets take a look at Google Drive!

Folders are done, now what?
ONE LAST THING WITH FOLDERS
You can add files and remove them at will. You can even share them!
Folders are shared just like any other file.

Lets review that process next...

Remember: A shared folder gives access to everything in that folder.

Calendar
One of the last things we'll discuss today is the Google Calendar.

This powerful tool can be used to schedule everything that is important to you and let others know when you're available.

Additionally you can add events, invite people, and make personal tasks.
How do I get to my

Calendar?
Google will also offer
little hints like what
you see above.
Please take mental notes of these as they can be very helpful tips.
Here you'll access
your settings
and change the
calendar view.
Here is a month
overview, create events drop
down and where you can
view other calendars.
This is where you edit
and review all
your calendar
content.
Creating an Event
So now that you’re familiar with the calendar. Let’s use some functions like creating an event and sharing it.

After that we’ll add others to the Calendar and show you how to make a task.

When you're done adding
people to your event press "SAVE".
Scheduling continued...
Now that you know how to set up your own calendar and have the ability to invite others
to events, let's look at some other functions
of the calendar like adding other people's calendars to yours and tasks.

Important to
remember
: When you send an event invite the person receives an email for conformation. When you get invited to an event you'll receive an email for conformation. Follow through so that everyone's calendar remains up to date.
Things to Remember
You need to be online for Google Drive to work.
The Desktop Google Drive works like any other windows folder.
Changes made to either the Web Based App or the Desktop App will sync across both and whoever is sharing it.
