It stands for "You Only Live Once" and is used to defend a lot of silly and senseless acts. It has become so popular that SNL even parodied it... The Original YOLO This idea of YOLOing is nothing new.
It is a modern version of "Carpe Diem" Lost in Translation Somehow the original meaning of Carpe Diem and YOLO got lost in translation. YOLO does not mean do something rash and then chalk it off as, "Oh well, YOLO!" True Meaning YOLO is supposed to mean you only live once so seize the day and be extraordinary!
