Images from Shutterstock.com DESCRIPTION Lyrebirds have big pearled eyes and complex patterns on their tail. Its big plumes are brown and white. The rest of the body is covered in brown feathers. From a far distance it looks like a chicken legged peacock. movement A lyrebird has long wings but usually stays on ground. It usually has its head down unless it is trying to attract a female. It is unusual because birds like using its wings and they like flying. LYREBIRD BY ANDRE You will find a lyrebird in NSW and Victoria. They would mostly be in rainforests and the woods. It is really fascinating to see how they survive in the woods and the rainforests. HABITAT The lyrebird is an Australian, native bird. EATING HABITS It will eat a lot of bugs that it sees like spiders, worms, beetles and crickets. BREEDING The lyrebird will get its mates by mimicking lots of songs and sounds from the sounds it hears like kookaburras and chain sore to wood choppers and a car alarm.it will make a space like a little stage for its performance.
