In ancient times the forest grew a lot of huge trees. When flash floods occurred, trees were wrecked, floating in the water. People tended to cling to trees to escape from the water and cross the river. After a long time of practice, they gradually realized that after hollowing out a period of the tree can become a handy and rugged operating vehicles - canoe.
Canoe made from wood is adapt to rot in water, less stable, moves slowly.
