there are 8 essential amino acids that your body cannot make...you must EAT THEM!

examples:
incomplete- do not provide all 8 essential amino acids ex: beans, nuts
complete- provide all 8 essential amino acids
ex: eggs, milk, cheese, meat
compounds: COH

building blocks: fatty acids and glycerol

uses:
warmth
reserve energy
help body absorb vitamins

examples:
saturated- solid at room temp.
unsaturated- liquid at room temp.
