In low- and middle-income (LAMI) countries, 200 million children are currently failing to reach their potential.
Due to the crisis in Syria, over 4 million children have experienced prolonged stress and exposure to violence.
In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, 31% of children have never set foot in a classroom.
But 90% of our knowledge about how children develop is based on 5% of the world's population.
