Transcript of Vetamorphus info
Vetamorphus is Christian Leadership Training
for Senior Secondary Students
Vetamorphus began in Vic in 2004
Over 1000 students nationally have successfully completed the Vetamorphus program
It enables year 11 and 12 students academic credit for growing in their faith
Now in 4 states and 1 territory with over 250 students a year going through
Currently more than 15 school/churches offering Vetamorphus in VIC with interest from 5 others for 2013
Successful completion of Vetamorphus means students are eligible to apply for credit towards their VCE under the ‘Block Credit’ system.
VET in the VCE or VCAL allows students to include vocational studies within their senior secondary certificate. Students undertake nationally recognised training from either accredited state curriculum or national training packages which may contribute to their VCE and/or VCAL.
Block Credit: Students can use Vetamorphus as a 5th or 6th subject towards their VCE. Instead of 10% of the Study Score of the 5th or 6th VCE subject, Block Credit subjects are calculated as 10% of the average of their top 4 VCE subjects.
Successful completion of Vetamorphus means students are eligible for credit towards their VCAL.
VET in the VCE or VCAL allows students to include vocational studies within their senior secondary certificate. Students undertake nationally recognized training from either accredited state curriculum or national training packages which may contribute to their VCE and/or VCAL.
Nationally recognized VET will contribute to two of the four VCAL strands – Work Related Skills and Industry Specific Skills.
For all certificate types (VES, NAP and VFE), a credit towards VCAL is awarded on successful completion of approximately
100 nominal hours of accredited curriculum/nationally recognized training.

Some Guiding Stories and Ideas
Vetamorphus is ecumenical at its core. The team that create the material and write the assessment pieces come from various denominations and backgrounds. As the content is delivered locally by a PGS, it is natural that the natural giftings, talents and emphasis of the PGS will influence the groups direction. It allows the PGS to shape the material to suit their group.
Vetamorphus is committed to stretching students and helping them own their faith for themselves.
Vetamorphus gives time and space to students who have questions about what they believe.

What People have said about Vetamorphus
Vetamorphus taught me so much about God and how to live as a Christian. It helped me understand the bible to a point of reading more! I loved the retreats and getting to know people who believe the same thing, making new lasting friendships and learning from them. On a whole Vetamorphus rocked!
Student, Immanuel College
Vetamorphus is an awesome journey for students to experience.
It’s relational, practical and empowering–. It shows them how
they are ready and able to lead, serve and make a difference now.
Vetamorphus shows them they are the generation that God’s
willing and ready to work through.

But... it doesn't have to lead to any of these things. Many students undertake Vetamorphus simply for the personal growth and transformation that takes place as a result of the program.
