INTERMITTENT- WHEN THE EPISODES ARE LESS THAN ONCE A WEEK, AND THERE IS NO DAILY MEDICINE.
MILD PERSISTENT- EPISODES ARE MORE OFTEN THAN ONCE A WEEK, BUT NOT EVERY DAY, CONTROLLED BY AN INHALER.
MODERATE PERSISTENT- EPISODES DAILY, AND EFFECTS SLEEP AND ACTIVITY, ORAL MEDICATION AND INHALER.
SEVERE PERSISTENT- CONTINUING SYMPTOMS, DISTURBED AT NIGHT, LIMITED ACTIVITY, STEROID MEDS, ORAL MEDS, AND INHALER. SYMPTOMS OF ASTHMA ~SHORTNESS OF BREATH
~COUGHING
~WHEEZING
~CHEST TIGHTNESS OR PAIN
~BREATHING RAPIDLY
~TINGLING IN FINGERS OR LEGS BECAUSE OF OXYGEN DEPLETION AND HYPERVENTILATION

SPIRAMETRY-TEST ELIMINATES NARROWING OF YOUR BRONCHIAL TUBES BY CHECKING HOW MUCH AIR YOU CAN EXHALE AFTER A DEEP BREATH AND HOW FAST YOU CAN BREATH OUT.

PEAK FLOW- PEAK FLOW METER IS A SIMPLE DEVICE THAT MEASURES HOW HARD YOU CAN BREATH OUT TREATMENT INHALER- AN INHALER SPRAYS A MEDICINE IN THE BACK OF YOUR THROAT TO SOOTHE THE BRONCHIAL TUBE, WHICH REDUCES SWELLING.
