SeaHorses Seahorses are unique, and not just because of their unusual shape. Unlike most other fish, they mate for life. they are among the only animal species on Earth in which the male gives birth to the baby seahorses. Size:0.6 to 14 in (1.5 to 35 cm) Adaptions:
They anchor themselves with their tails to sea grasses and corals, using their snouts to suck in plankton and small crustaceans that drift by. Habitat:
They prefer to live in sheltered areas such as seagrass beds, coral reefs, or mangroves. A HAbit of seahorses: Seahorses swim upright with their tails down and their heads up fun fact 1:
"Hippocampus" comes from the Ancient Greek hippos meaning "horse" and kampos meaning “sea monster”. fun fact 2: Seahorses cannot curl their tails backwards
