I was born in Wisconsin but I learned to talk in Tennessee. Moved to Escondido in 1980, then to Valley Center in 1990. My now adult children attended and graduated from Valley Center schools.

Writing opinions, using important details. for support
Writing stories with details and beginning, middle, end.
Shared research projects and conversations that deepen understanding.
Responses cite evidence from text using language frames.
Solve challenging + and - word problems with 1 and 2 steps.
Accurately understanding using everything about numbers up to 4 digits.
Quickly and accurately adding and subtracting numbers from 20 or less.
Being able to identify the steps to solve a problem and defend how the problem was solved.
