7th Grade BYOT policy is "out of sight" - not used in hall, at locker, in between class, in restroom, or at lunch, and not used in class without teacher permission.

Under Common Core, the 7th grade grammar focus is
. Grammar instruction is embedded in writing lessons and novel unit activities.
Throughout the year, students will practice...
Students will be keeping an Interactive Notebook - a composition notebook - for novel studies.
They will take lecture notes and paste important worksheets in the notebook. Each page has a number and a purpose, as well as two sections to the notebook.
This aids in organization & making connections in learning.
Writing genres in seventh grade include:

R & R Policy
Students who did not show a mastery of the standards seen from a summative assessment grade below 85% and have completed a relearn activity are eligible for “R & R”. Students scoring below an 85% may receive a maximum retake score of 85%.
