& Fraud investigator Kelly MacMillan Many employability skills apply to this job, such as: Following instructions, being on time, being prepared, dressing appropriately, and doing assigned work. The average salary of a claims consultant in the United States ranges from $40,000 to $60,000 a year. The education preferred of a claims consultant/fraud investigator is a Highschool Diploma, as well as a business degree. ONe of the things I like best about this job is the fraud investigator part. You can do background checks on certain people and basically find any information you want. One of the things I like least about this job is sitting at a desk most of the day. The type of technology used in this career would be fax machines, phones, computers, as well as copy machines. In 15 years, this company will hopefully be in 14-15 more states, and have an estimated $1 Billion in revenue. Certain skills needed for this job are professionalism, social skills, computer skills, and time mangement. If i were to pursue a career in this line of work it would be a fraud investigator.
