I chose this profession mainly because of how much I used to read comics when I was little. Garfield and Calvin and Hobbes were my favorite comics, and I read them religiously. I used to want to draw my own comic and publish it but eventually changed my mind.
Cartoon Artist Career Cartoon artists are required to draw welcoming characters that can convey certain emotions through appearance in a simple way.
For instance, for the job-finder site monster.com, the mascot helps promote a lighthearted and characteristic feel about the company through a cartoonish look Job Requirements Although a resume or specific application may be necessary, most jobs of this title require submissions of cartoon samples.
With the new wave of technology, most jobs require Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop experience.
Because of the large number of aspiring artists, there is a fair amount of competitiveness and the median annual income of a cartoon artist is $50,360.

Career Info. Cartoon artists have an impact on society. Not necessarily heavily affecting, but impactful nonetheless.
For example, one of the more common advertisement tactics for businesses is having a mascot, spokesperson, etc.
Sometimes these are animals or people but usually they are cartoonistic characters drawn or printed by a cartoon artist.
What is a Cartoon artist? A cartoon artist is an artist that works for a company and designs them a specific group of characters or single character to sell the image they are visualizing.
