Mao Zedong's effects on Chinese Cinderella
Transcript of Mao Zedong's effects on Chinese Cinderella
How his ideas affected Chinese cinderella.
Info about him
Mao Zedong was one of the most powerful men in the world! He was born on December 26, 1893, and died on September 9, 1976. He was a communist leader, but he was generally "nice".
How did his actions affect the storyline?
Since his arrival, Mao Zedong actually helped women get rights, therefore giving women (like Niang or Aunt Baba, two important characters to the plot) have more rights. He also improved education (therefore having Adeline get into School)
The bad news
Even though good 'ol Mao was a honored as one of the most powerful people in all of history, he was on some tough ground. He was a dictator who oversaw human rights, causing lots of bad stuff to happen. Over 40-70 MILLION people died of starvation, and forced labor and EXECUTIONS! Therefore giving him a high rank as one of the most Genocidal people in all of history.
Why Does this Matter? And what does is have to do with the story?
Well, throughout the story, we can see that Adeline's father was going through some financial issues. This was caused by Mao Zedong's (I'm just going to call him MZ for now) dictated ideas and laws.
Well that's it!
MZ had a huge impact on the story "Chinese Cinderella" There's probably more to go over, but my stove is smoking, Till we meet again, BYE!
Wait! there is more to this Prezi!
I've put some little Easter eggs throughout this prezi. Try to find them!
MZ in 1913
Why not? It suits the Genocidal idea.
