LITERATURE REVIEW
PROBLEM STATEMENT
There is no clear procedure available for design of IBS Structure.
There is no clear information available for design and analysis for component of precast concrete structure.
The SAP2000 software are not widely used in IBS industry
METHODOLOGY
EXPECTED RESULT
Three characteristic will be observe that are:
Maximum moment
Maximum shear
Maximum deflection
CONCLUSION
The analysis of precast concrete can be carried out in two ways that are manual calculation and using SAP2000.
The differences between IBS and conventional method can be seen using the result from SAP2000.
The understanding of joint connection is important in either Industrialize Building System or conventional method as it affect the load distribution, strength and stability.

OBJECTIVE
The objective of the project are:

To figure out the procedure of design of IBS structure.
To design and perform an analysis of precast concrete structure of slab, beam and column.
To compare the manual calculation of analysis with SAP2000 software.
To investigate the differences between conventional method and Industrial Building System method using SAP2000 software.
Theoretically, all three values for pinned connection must be greater than rigid connection

Advantage and disadvantages of precast concrete construction
IBS Content Scoring System

A manual which provide a complete guidance to evaluate the IBS Score for any building project.
IBS Score is the score for computing the total IBS component used in a building project as set out in the manual.
The IBS Score manual provide:

Precast structure performed better than the monolithic due to the welding at reinforcement lapping which increased the joint reinforcement.
All the joins part are sufficiently stiffed. It occur when no relative rotational movement of beam is transferred completely to column.
Does not allow transmission of movement to the columns and it has no stiffness which indicate that it is free to rotate under loading.
The structure that will be analyzed is a double storey house which will be constructed using Industrialize Building System
The Industrialize Building System used pinned connection in the construction
A technique of construction in which the manufactured of component is carried out in a controlled environment and then transported to site for position and assemble. CIDB Malaysia (2001)
Conventional method normally used rigid connection.
Therefore, the double storey house will be analyze with both rigid and pinned connection to get the differences.
The structural components that involve in the analysis are beam, column and slab.
