Henry Ford Young Henry Ford's Education He was born on July 30, 1863 in Dearborn, Michigan.
His parents were William and Mary Ford who maintained their family of six children on a family farm in Dearborn.
Ford's typical childhood day consisted of attending a rural one-room school and then tending to farm chores after school
From an early age, Ford despised farm work and loved machinery. Henry Ford's education consisted of working as an apprentice, mostly pursuing his dream of becoming a machinist.
At age 16, he left the family farm and was an apprentice machinist. After three years, he returned to Dearborn and found jobs operating and repairing steam engines.
Occasionally, he found work in a Detroit factory and continued his work as a machinist. Henry Ford and his legacy Henry Ford died on April 7, 1947 after a series of strokes he had during 1938 and 1941 which affected him.
Even after his death, Ford's legacy in the motor industry continued to be a great hit across the United States.
Other than forging a great company, Ford was always concerned for the common person. As so, he astounded the world when he established his workers' minimum wage at an astonishing $5 per hour for an eight-hour work day.
He established a sociological department in the company to examine his workers' lives and help them make it better. Top left: Henry Ford as a child.

- Henry Ford Ford Motor Company The Assembly Line Henry Ford worked his way to Chief engineer in the Edison Illuminating Company.
Early in his career as a machinist, he designed the Quadricycle, Henry Ford's first car.
After the realization of his Quadricycle, Ford pursued other ambitions to create self-propelled vehicles and not only that, but to create a nations of motorists.
With all his dedication, his name came to be known slowly as Ford later the Ford Motor Company. After two unsuccessful attempts to bring up the business, the Ford Motor Company was founded in 1903, with Henry Ford as the vice president and chief engineer.
In 1908, Ford introduces the Ford Model T, an efficient and inexpensive car for consumers. It was easy to operate, maintain and handled rough terrains as well. It became a huge success.
Another big ambition of Ford was to facilitate work for all farmers. He had grown up on a farm and detested hard farm labor.
Ford's first experimental tractor design came from the aid of Model T parts to limit parts production and time production.

Bottom left: Fordson Model F Other than revolutionize the motor industry, Henry Ford's most ingenious was the addition of an assembly line to the production line of his products which came to help in the war effort during WWII.
The assembly line consisted of a conveyor belt where the product is assembled. As the product travels down this belt, workers are stationed at certain spots of the assembly line, putting on certain parts of the product into the actual product itself.
This production method not only offered more jobs but revolutionized the way the products are assembled, even today.
The idea of the assembly line has been improved over the years, now with the replacement of more laborers for actual robotic assemblers, although human hands are still needed for the maintenance of the robotic additions.
