Essential Questions
Is there an ideal version of manliness?
The author has different views on masculinity through his life, but ideas for him change over time.
There are many ideal versions of manliness because everyone has their own ideas on what manliness is.
In 21st century America, Is life harder for men or women? Why or Why not?

In modern America, life is harder for men.
Men work hard, dangerous jobs that take a toll on their bodies.
Only select men can "run the world" and have power, money, and free time.
