Parallel structure (also called parallelism) is the repetition of a chosen grammatical form within a sentence
Example of Parallel Structures
I would rather pay for my education than financial aid.
I would rather pay for my education than receive financial aid.
My best friend took me dancing and to a show.
My best friend took me to a dance and a show.
Parallel Structures within lists
When you're comparing items or objects within a list use parallel structures.
