Key Words:
Importance and Significance of Salah
Salah is the most important duty of a Muslim. It will be the first action that Allah SWT will question us about on the Day of Judgement.

Salah is the one of the many acts of worship and is the best form of Ibaadah or praying to Allah SWT.
Prophet (PBUH) is reported to have said:
"Teach your children to read Salaah from the age of 7 and hit them (Lightly) if they do not read Salaah from the age of 10."
Once Rasulullah PBUH asked his companions RA

" Do you think dirt can remain on a person who baths five times a day in a stream running in front of his house?"

"No", replied the companions. "No dirt can remian on his body".

The Prohet PBUH remarked,
"Similar is the effect of Salaah offered five times a day.
With the grace of Allah SWT it washes away sins."

This hadith shows that while water removes physical dirt , Salaah performed habitually removes spritual dirt (sins).
"The difference between a Muslim and a kaafir (non Muslim) is the neglecting of Salaah."
1. Salaah helps a Muslims keep away from sin.
2. Salaah helps a Muslim to remember and develop love for Allah SWT.
3. Salaah helps to strengthen ones faith.
4. Salaah is the key to Jannah.
5. Salaah brings peace and comfort to the heart.
6. Through Salaah we show thanks for Allah SWT for whatever he has given us.
When a Muslim performs Salaah sincerely, his/her sins fall off as the leaves of trees fall in Autumn. Salaah is to the believers what water is to fish.

You must have Wudu.
It is recommended to face the Qibla.

"Indeed the one who recites the Quran beautifully, smoothly, and precisely, will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels. As for the one who recites with difficulty, stammering or stumbling through its verses, then he will have twice that reward.”
