Transcript of Alfred L. Cralle

Alfred L. Cralle Cralle settled in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and became an inventor and business man. It started when he noticed the difficulty to scoop ice cream, and invented the ice cream scooper (originally called the "Ice Cream Mold and Disher"). After that he went on to becoming a very successful business man. Childhood Cralle was born on September 4th, 1866. He was originally from Lunenburg County Virginia. As a kid he attended local schools and worked with his father in the carpentry trade where he become interested in mechanics. Later on, he was sent to Washington DC and attended Wayland Seminary. Education Alfred L. Cralle invented the ice cream scooper. Adult Hood Alfred Cralle received his education from Wayland Seminary, a school to educate African Americans after the Civil War, in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.
