Even nutty right-wingers are having a harder and harder time hiding behind their own lies about the LGBT community and about gay marriage.

NBC Nightly news reporter Kristen Dahlgren claims that “shows created an era of acceptance” which allows more people to come out of the closet.
The “modern” family of Cam and Mitchell is still based on traditional male and female roles

No physical affection on screen
Non-physical but intimate moments between Cam and Mitchell still makes conservatives uncomfortable
Gives the perception that it is ok to laugh at people associated with typical stereotypes
Professor Greg Lewis of Georgia State University: “knowing gay people personally and knowing them through the media is convincing people that gay people are people. They have lives, they have loves, and they have families.”
