Origami Paper Cranes Why? To help raise money and awareness for tsunami and earthquake victims in Japan How? For every paper crane and donate we make dosomething.org will donate $2 to support Architecture for Humanity. If we make 1,000 paper cranes that will be $2,000!! Why cranes? Cranes are sacred creatures in Japanese culture. According to legend, anyone who folds a thousand paper cranes will be granted a wish by a crane. Once we reach our goal of 100,000 submissions, the cranes will be woven into an art installation - a symbolic gift from students around the globe to Japanese youth What is going to happen to my crane?
