Transcript of Tokyo
Where is Tokyo?
Tokyo's location is ideal because of it's proximity to the coast and giving it ideal access to shipping lanes.
Its All About Location!!!
Tokyo started off as a small fishing village around 3,000 B.C.
Tokyo has been affected by globalization. Japan as well as China have taken over industrialized trade by manufacturing almost everything us we use or wear.
There is no specific reason as to why Tokyo is located where it is.
Tokyo also has 23 different wards that are earth-quake prone. This makes me think Japan is not that safe.
On September 1 1923 their was a massive earthquake. It measured between 7.9 and 8.4 on the Richter scale. It killed more than 45% of citizens.
There was also a bombing during World War II. I think this caused them to be more cautious as well as one of the safest cites in the world.
One of the many attributes is that people from Tokyo are becoming wealthier.
The Schools in Tokyo take academics more seriously than Americans do.
In Japan students do not have janitors so they clean up their schools everyday.
In Tokyo they also remove their shoes at the entrance of the school.
People Of Tokyo
In 2012 the estimated population of Tokyo was 13.216 million.
Demographics say Japan is doomed.
Their population will be cut in half within a century.
This will happen because there are not a lot of people in their productive years . Most people are in their retirement years.
They have limited natural resources forcing them to import those resources.
Tokyo is located on the southwestern part of the Kanto region, the Izu Islands, and the Ogasawara Islands
